Chances of pregnancy after 2 miscarriages?

Hello,

I have a question for anyone who may have some advice. After 2 miscarriages, is it possible to have a baby full-term?

A little background on me. I am 27, married with a daughter who is 9 from a previous marriage. So I know I am fertile, my hubby is fertile - where is this going wrong?

I had a 6 cm fibroid removed by myomectomy in June of 2009, got pregnant January of 2010 then miscarried at 7 weeks.  A D&C was not required since I passed everything on my own. I then got pregnant again before I even had another period after the miscarriage. I was due 12/04/10. I went in for the normal sonograms as I progressed, blood work, and so on. EVERYTHING was normal or better. We even found out it would be a boy at 12 weeks.

On July 16th I went in for my 20 weeks anatomy sonogram and was told no heartbeat could be found. The baby measured at 17 weeks or so. Later that day I was in the OR for a D&E.

We are going to try Genetic Counseling after some time to see what we can find out, as well as waiting on the results of the tests done at the time of the D&E.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

yes I know lots of women who had more than 1 mc and now have healthy children .. it sometimes is a case of bad luck .. I feel so awful for you to have gotten through the 1st trimester only to have something go wrong .. did you get any indication of what happened or are they just waiting for the results?  It's a good sign that your body can carry a pregnancy successfully - that it was most likely that something was wrong with your little one .. not you .. let your body and mind recover properly from this before you try again .. you have been through so much this year .. I really feel for you!
