I am Andrea and I live in Yakima, Washington. I'm going through my 11th miscarriage right know. This one is in my right fallopian tube (ectopic) I don't have a Right fallopian tube due to an ectopic that had to be immediately removed. I started going through this road of losses when I was 20 yrs...old. we'll a couple of years ago, I gave up on conceiving to full term and found out I have translocated chromosomes 13 and 14. On chromosome 13 I only have one chromosome and the other 13 is on 14 making number 14 have three pairs (CRAZY) but true. Everybody has two pairs of 22-23 chromosomes. We'll that was my problem why I have had soo many miscarriages. Also it means every time I get pregnant it will be a miscarriage or if able to carry to full term my child will come out with down syndrome. So I will have to do egg donor retrieval with IVF.
Hi there, i suffered from an ectopic pregnancy dec 2008, if you have doubts about rupturing then you should go straight a hospital because you dont want to go through what i did, as the pain in undescribable at worst. I was 10 weeks preg with no bleeding no pain no sign of ectopic until the day of rupturing. i had pain in my side right up to my shoulder, this is a sure sign of rupturing ectopic (if it goes to your shoulder), i was rushed in where i still wasnt bleeding but was collapsing, i couldnt breathe and the pain was horredous, i had lost 45% of my bodies blood internally and resulted in 2 blood transfusions and a removal of my right tube. so if you have any pain i urge you to see a doc, because if you have your rube removed your chances of concieving will be less than if you were to have both tubes in working order. I wish i'd of had some signs to tell me what was happening but unfortunately i didnt and had no choice. very sorry for your loss i know its traumatic. all the best for the furture
Thanks ladies for your replies. The bleeding has not gotten heavier, and i am not bleeding thru more than one pad per hour, so i am hesitant to go the er. Plus, every time i have been there for this situation, they want to take me in for surgery, and i just don't think i am that far yet. No one has yet to see anything in my tubes, and the pregnancy started to mc fairly early on (about 4-5 weeks) and my dr has assured me that i can pass this on my own, with the shot of course. I def trust my dr more than the er staff, but my dr is out of town this week.
i just wasnt expecting so many symptoms so soon after the shot. but as of now, the pain is less (especially since i took some laxatives and cleared out the old system), the bleeding is not uncontrolable, and the nausea is easily controlled with meds. i was just freaking out that night because i had not been bleeding for about 2 days and then all of a sudden i seen bright red again, just hours after the shot.
Mayra, were you bleeding before you took the shot? I too am sorry for your loss. This is by far the hardest thing i have ever been thru. We've been trying so long, and this was so hard to go thru. I don't think anyone can imagine the emotional pain without going thru it themself. Due to personal and religious beliefs, I waited until the very last second to do the shot. I really believe in life at conception and I just didn't want to end this myself. But once my health was starting to be compromised, I really had no choice.
I am sorry about your lost. I went through an ectopic pregnancy back in April and I also had a huge pain. I would also recomend you to go to ER just to be safe. When I took the Methotrexate shot the doctors advised me that if I was bleading too much and if the pain was unberable I should go to ER which I did and fortunately everything was ok. I started bleeding after 3 days of taking the shot (The methotrexate is flashing everything out at that poin)t and the first day was the worst pain and bleeding. The bleeding decreased slowly and lasted only 3 days but the pain was there for about 6 weeks until I got my period but everyone is different and the body reacts different to different things, that's why is always important to be checked out even for a piece of mind.
I wish you a quick recovery and eventhough I know it is one of the hardest things to go through, everything will pass.
Take care
MayraC
I guess in your shoes I would not gloss over the possibility that it was ectopic and continued to grow and ruptured the tube. You might go to the ER or at least call the doctor's after-hours number and ask the nurse or doctor on call what to do.
