Beta Levels Dropped in half

I took a Home Preg. test/just found out 4/4/09 that I was pregnant with my last period having been on 2/24/09.  On Wed. 4/8/09 I had some spotting start while I was at work so called my dr.  They had me immed. come in for blood draw & rogam shot due to my blood being o negative.  My betas were at a 1048 on 4/8/09 so they scheduled me to come back on 4/10/09 for another draw to check the levels and told me I was to rest and do nothing else (pelvic rest-she called it) so on 4/10/09 My levels had dropped in Half to a 530  :-(   I was devestated, it was NOT a planned pregnancy by any means but I still wanted the baby.  My doctor went over things I should expect to happen over the weekend such as increased bleeding, pain, and passing of tissues.  So, over the weekend I experienced NONE of the pain-not even remotely, a little increased bleeding with MINOR passing of anything.  On Monday my doctor makes the comment that they have NEVER seen levels drop that dramatic and that quick which surprised me that she had not mentioned this on the previous friday when all she stated was that I was loosing the baby, what to expect to happen etc.. so her saying they had never seen such an extreme drop led me to believe that maybe the test was wrong.  I do believe Im loosing the baby because Im still bleeding and its now 4/13/09 but what could have caused the EXTREME drop?  I do not drink, do not use drugs and did not over exert myself between 4/8/09 and the drop on 4/10/09, I litereally sat on the couch all weekend and did nothing.

I didnt want the miscarriage so Im not sure what you mean by quote:  Have ou talked to your dr about being prescribed something to bring on the m/c?:  I wont take any type of meds while Im pregnant, not even tylenol, I stop drinking coffee, and watch what I eat.  Ive gone through everthing in my head to try and figure out why I lost the baby.  Im TOTALLY depressed and my levels on Monday results came back and are now just a 99.  :-(

I'm so sorry for everything you are going through. My last m/c my levels were up down and up and down one minute we are being told the worst and the next oh it's ok. It was a nightmare. I understand my heart goes out to you. Have you talked to your dr about being prescribed something to bring on the m/c? Also I would before doing that have your blood re-drawn. The extreme drop means the pg isn't viable it's not taking and it's nothing you did. You don't have to be an addict to have a m/c. Some women such as myself do everything right and still m/c some do everything wrong and m/c you just never know. I would def talk with your dr again about the next step to take. I wish you the best. If you need to talk I'm here. Please let me know what happens. Remember you are not alone........
