How Long Did Your Bleeding Last?

I know everyone is different and that things can happen differently but I'm a very curious person and let's face it--- polls are fun. So my question is, if you've had a natural miscarriage, how long did your bleeding last? Please check "Had a D&C" if you didn't have a natural miscarriage.

I found out id had  a missed misscarriage at 9weeks6days with a scan, there was no heartbeat at the scan. I decided i wouldn't have a D&C just do it the natural way. so a week later it happened i got bad pains @5 in the morning, then spent about 4hours bleeding heavy & passing big clots the foetus passed 2, it  was very painful & quiet scary experience. I went to the hospital @ 1 that day because i fainted over blleding so much & i had a scan to see had everything been removed which it had & i was left home, the bleeding still hasnt stopped completly a week & a half later but its almost stopped, but i was glad i did it the natural way even doh it wasnt an easy thing to do. i brought the foetus to the hospital that day as well and it was sent for tests.its an horrilble thing to happen im sorry for all yere losses.. if anyone wants to ask anything feel free..

I miscarried at 8 weeks. the bleeding itself lasted about 6 days. Then I continued spotting. Mine was different though because later I found out that I was having a mild infection and that was why I had been spotting for 2 months.

I m/c at 9 weeks 6 days and Mine was all messed up. Mine all started with a huge cramp then heavy bleeding for 15 min. this stopped until the next day. I took a walk in the morning to jump start the misscarriage and around 12 I started bleeding and this continued to get worse. I started having contractions less than a min. apart I couldn't sit or stand and I had heating pads on my pelvic area and my lower back which was killing me. A few days later I had passed a baseball sized clot. I thought this was the end of it b/c I felt a surge of energy and not much pain afterwards. The next few days following I started to bleed everyday around 11am-12pm and this would last an hour then stop until 5-6pm when i'd bleed again for another hour. I would continue to pass tissue, but not consistantly. After a few days of this I finally called the doctor b/c the hour that I was bleeding I couln't stand or get off the toilet it was that heavy. So I went in for an ultrasound and I stil hadn't misscarried completely. For the risk of anemia or infection my obgyn schedualed me for a suction D&C a couple days later. The procedure went well very little to no pain afterwards. It has been a very emotional time. This was my first pregnancy.

I m/c at 8 weeks and the bleeding only lasted about 5 days.  It still seemed like an enternity to me.  But compared to some ladies, I feel I was very lucky to have a smooth, and relativly painless m/c.  After the m/c, my cycle went right back on track.  This is our third month of TTC afte the m/c.

With both of mine I was only about 4 wks and no D&C needed but they were both vert diff. the 1st I bleed for 12 days before I found out I was even preg. then after I bleed from 10/26/07-12/31/08. With the 2nd I only bleed 5 days.

I also had a painful miscarraige. It started on 9/15 and they tried to let it happen naturally...it didn't. I ended up having a d&c almost two weeks later...bled for about a week and a half and spotted for about thre days after that....Sorry for all of your losses!

ArmyPrincess, I'm doing okay. My bleeding stopped yesterday, so it was a total of a week. Hopefully this doesn't affect my next cycle or I may cry.

My m/c was very painful but luckily the bleeding lasted for 5 days and did not affect my next cycle. I'm grateful for not having to have a d and c or any complications ttc. I know alot of women who had long term affects from theirs. How are you doing? Best of luck to you.....

Hey Joy, just wanted to let you know that I was onlt 5w3d when I had my m/c which i started bleeding on 11.16.08 and then 11.17.08 it started a little heavier and then by 11.19.08 it was heavier like a period and then on 11.22.08 it stopped and returned for a little more spotting. and then again it stopped on 11.23.08/.. hope this helps....
