I had a miscarriage

Hi, my name is Jessica. I had a miscarriage on New years day. I've been trying to get pregnant again since then. I haven't had any success. I keep having irregular periods. Is it still possible for me to get pregnant again? What can I do to help the process?

In my opinion, using a combination of things is the best way to determine the best time to get dancin'!

Cervical Mucus observation, to determine the fertile & non fertile phases of your cycle.
OPKs, to be alerted to approaching ovulation (12 to 36 hrs) &
BBT, tracking temps to confirm that ovulation has, in fact taken place.  You will have a "thermal shift", a jump in basal body temp of .2 to .4 degrees F any where from 1 to 3 days after ovulation occurs.

The combo of these methods can best predict within your fertile window when conception is most likely to occur.

Come to the TTC After a Loss forum.  Many of the girls over there know their stuff!!

try usin ovulation testing kits and when you get a positive have sex that night, but yes 2-3 days is the norm as you have more chance of the sperm catching the egg. I havehad 1 miscarriage a few wks bk and desperatly want to ttc again, but I think Cocacolapanda is right the best thing is to 'try' and forget about 'getting pregnant' and just make love. It's very hard but once you relax your body works better. good luck.

I'm sorry about your loss!  I just recently had my first miscarriage so I can't really give you much experience from my end.  Basically when I was trying I heard to have sex every 2-3 days, that way you'r more likely to get pregnant.  Also, have you tried fertility monitors?

The one things I've heard from SO many women who try for a while is just to forget a bout it, the stress of trying actually can put off when you ovulate and make it harder to conserve.  Just enjoy your time with your partner, try to do it regularly.  A lot of women have gotten pregnant after having a miscarriage, so it's possible!  And you did get pregnant in the past so you know it's possible!  Just relax, and good luck!
