It may be the start of your miscarriage, every one is different, try not to be too worried or scared, if your going to miscarry there isnt anything you can do to stop it, nor is there anything that you have done to cause it, the rate of miscarriage is quite high, and if you have had one, it doesnt mean you will have another, most of the time you go on to have healthy pregnancies after one, also, it is natures way, remember only pregnancies that are not progressing as they should end in miscarriage early on, so I know it can be hard try and look at it from that perspective, on the other side, many women do experience bleeding in early pregnancy and go on to have a full term pregnancy, you really do need to have a follow up scan, otherwise its just a case of waiting it out, if this pink discharge gets heavier, then I would say that you may be looking at the start of a miscarriage
i had pinkish discharge for so long which was on/off. at 6weeks on u/s doctor told there's a viable progress as baby was measuring 5mm with no heartbeat. i was given another scan after 10 days. no progress was scene i was suppose to be 8weeks and 1 day thats when they diagnosed me with MC. they should have given you a scan when i had scan my midwife said some babies take time to develop. unfortunately it did not happen. it was last thursday its been a week and i am having on/off spotting and havent even started MC yet. i have been given two weeks and already been given another scan to see whether i have passed all the tissues or no. if not i ll be going for medication.
just ask your doctor to give u another scan.
I'm at the docs on Monday,I'm sorry if it's tmi but I have been having A small amount of pinkish discharge ,is this the start? I'm worried and scared.. Xx
Thankyou.will ring for an appointment in the morning, thankyou for your advice,x
dont be afraid to be pro-active in this and say what you want done :) ie bloods and another u/s in 2 weeks
ok well go and get those bloods done ands if they're falling you will miscarry, if they rising by the right amount you wont and it would have been just abit too early to see the heartbeat, there has been many a women on this site in a panic about that and have gone back 2 weeks later and the heartbeat is there, I'm not saying that this will be definate in your case but there are things you can do which will give you a much better idea as to how your pregnancy is going, then you will be able to get your head around everything
Thankyou for your comment,I haven't had any bleeding/spotting or pain, infact I feel fine! I had a vaginal u.s but it took minutes,I was just given factsheets on miscarriage and sent home. Myself and my husband don't really know what to do next, and to be honest I feel like I've lost trust with my midwife.x
its good that you declined, at an ultrasound many times around the 5-6 week mark you do not see the heartbeat, you should have been reschedualed in for another one in around 2 weeks time, they should have also done a vaginal u/s as well. I would contact your midwife or doctor and request some blood test be done to see if your hcg levels ar rising or dropping, keeping in mind that when your about 6 weeks they do take longer to double, have you had any bleeding/spotting at all? With a miscarriage, they usually leave you for aground 2 weeks to see if you pass it naturally, then give you the option of a d&c..... thats if your going to miscarry
