Yes this is where I come to share info about my miscarriage experiences.  Anyway, I miscarried twins at 11 weeks, found out on my regular checkup they died and my body was keeping going supporting the placenta.  Anyway, I took pills to discard the dead babies (twins).  Otherwise the miscarriage would have taken weeks, their hearts stopped beating and they stopped growing.  Anyway, I took these pills (misoprostol) that made me bleed, I blead for three weeks.  I stopped for a week and started bleeding again. I call it a period because it was 28 days from when I took the pills the day after finding out. I blead 5 days, darker than normal but I consider it my first period.  It would depend on the thickness of your lining the length of time for your period.  It may have been one that was just short.

My question is, how was your miscarriage diagnosed?  Are you still prego or have you fully miscarried and then a few weeks later had bleeding for two days?  Did you just bleed for 2 days and may still be prego? My firend blead every month through her pregnancy and was fine.  It it has been some time then I would call that a period but your system is out of whack meaning I had my first period after miscarriage without ovulation according to my specialist because my HCG is not at Zero. Trust me I am advancing to IVF (from IUIs) because I am desprite to get prego again so they are tracking me.  She said I will not ovulate again until I am at HCG zero. My period started with HCG at 18 last week, this week I am at HCG 10 but she said I will not ovulate this cycle.  I was angry.

I also asked my RE (Infert specialist ) Dr about the increased fertility myth after miscarriage, she said it is true for those with PCOS but it was because their fertility chances were lower to begin with so that is the increased fertility myth.  I wouldn't let it discourage anyone, it didn't to me, I just knew I could get prego, that was the first step. It took me 2 years to conceive the twins but now we know we can make a baby.  Have you tried IUI or other fertility solutions may speed things up in returning to pregnancy.  Best of luck to you Hrenee.

Hi, my first period after my m/c was shorter than usual. My dr said that it could be longer or shorter than usual. There's no really telling exactly if those two days were your period unless your dr tests to see if you have ovulated via a blood test. You could probably assume that it was your period if the blood was the same as a normal one.
Should you expect more? hard to say because everybody's different. I had my for a few days and have not had one since-i am on cycle day 36 and should have had my period again by now and i'm not pregnant so don't know what's happening.

Some research does say you are more fertile after a m/c but most dr say to wait at least one cycle before TTC again. My GP told me to wait 3 cycles but my gyn/ob told me one was ok.

Hope i could assist you somewhat.

P.S - perfect forum to ask this question.

I'm sorry about your loss,

I don't think it is the wrong forum, some people find it easier after some don't.

2 days bleeding for 11 weeks pregnant does not seem right, you should call your doctor.

I had a miscarriage after 14 weeks and was bleeding for 2 weeks or so.

Im not really sure why this would be the wrong forum.  Since I have been using this forums the ladies have been very helpful with similiar questions.  I have looked into the question of "is it easier to concieve after..."  Some people say that is true, but medically that does not seem to be the truth.  I was a little different in my case because my specialisit told me to have a "termination"  because the M/C could take months, but was inevitable.  I was hopeful that we would concieve again right away, but no luck after 5 months.
As for the bleeding and stuff, I really don't know about that, but i am sure there are other people here that may be able to help.  sorry about your loss and good luck!!

I have heard several ladies say that their periods were very abnormal after a miscarriage.  Is your HCG level back to normal?  That is often a good indicator of whether your body has returned to normal.  Have you tried using an OPK to see if you ovulated?  There seem to be differing opinions on whether it is easier to get pregnant after a miscarriage.  I am in a vey similar situation, so I sympathize.  Good luck, and I hope this helps.
