Period after a D&C

Hi Everyone,
I was 7 plus weeks when i started to miscarry on the 28th Feb and I had to have a D&C on the 12th March 2014 and i finally stopped bleeding on the 19th March 2014.  Im just wondering how long it was till you's finally had a period after your D&C? My partner and i havent been using protection and i think i have been having some pregnancy symptoms, i did a pregnancy test today and it came back negative but i think it might be a little too early to tell.

This was my 1st miscarraige and D&C so im not sure what to expect, please help.

Thank you

I know it's so hard isn't it!! I was also pregnant with twins! N loads of people are pregnant that I know 2 of my friends were due the same time I was. They are both still pregnant, makes it so hard doesn't it. I just keep thinking it wasn't meant to be and maybe my body wouldn't have been able to cope with twins (I'm only little) not that it makes it better though. Still heart broken. No I don't want to go through it again Life can be so cruel at times.
Thank you was abit of a shock it's only very early on so fingers crossed everything will be fine I'm so nervous about having a scan as that's how I found out I had to have a miscarriage. You will get pregnant again just takes our bodies a little time to get over what's happened. If you ever want to chat I'm always here. I know how hard it was! Xx

Congratulations hun,
i hope all goes well for you. I have all these people falling pregnant around me, even 2 of my sisters, i would have been 13 weeks pregnant if i kept the twins and my sister is 12 weeks now so you can imagine how im feeling. But dont get me wrong im soo happy both my sister are pregnant as they both have been trying for a very long time. One had to do Ivf and the other finally fell naturally after 14 years of trying, so im over the moon for the both of them.

Thank you for your comment. :)

Thank you guys,
Yes i too was told to try straight away with the same answer, the only reason not to try for a couple of months is so you know when and how far you are in pregnancy. The doctor also said an ultra sound will confirm how far you are in gestation. But i suppose all doctors are different.  Its pretty much the waiting game for me, to see if i get my period or a positive prego test.
It was really scary having a miscarriage and i dont ever want to go through that again not to mention my hormones were all over the place.  I would cry and than i was cranky as and than crying again, just for no reason.  The doctor seems to think i was carrying twins as my HcG level was through the roof.

I had an D&C on Jan, 21, and got my first period 81 days after that. It was also my first miscarriage. My doctor told me to wait at least 2 periods before trying to conceive again.
