Period after miscarriage???

I am really confused right now and hoping some of you can help! I recently miscarried on November 9 and finally stopped spotting last thursday or friday (Nov. 27 or 28). Well today, I started spotting again...but (not to provide too much information) today its very dark, almost like a period type of spotting. As of Nov 24 my hcg was 1700 and my levels prior to then were dropping almost 1000 per day (very quickly) so I expected them to be back to normal by the end of last week or early this week. Is it possible that my hormones have returned to normal and this is my period already, or do you think this is most likely leftover from my miscarriage? I'm really hoping this is my period!!

I had a similar thing happen to me not long ago. I had my d&c Nov 13, bled med-heavy for 2 days and then spoting for one week and then it stopped for almost 4 days. I thought I was in the clear and then I bled  med-heavy for another two days. It was very frustarting. Now it has been 9 days since anything and we BD this past Sunday and according to my calender I should have been ovulating on Sunday. I didn't plan it like that; I kinda only realised it after the fact. Through the week I had different CM and sore nipples, so I guess we'll see this week if boobs get sore or BFP. Our original plan was to wait until after my first AF to ttc, but we'll see.
I guess everyone is different and if I don't get BFP I hope my AF comes on the weekend. You should expect your around then too. Good luck and try to think that you will return immediately to your regular cycle pattern. I hope so too.

im sure its just bleeding from your m/c. its common to bleed on and off. with my first m/c i bled on and off for like 6 weeks, but i had a d&c. everybody is different and circumstances are different all the time. with my 2nd m/c i bled only for less than a day. i am curretly waitin for AF also so i can TTC- i have just learned to not get stressed out about everything, you just gotta go with the flow, theres nothing you can do about it. good luck!  keep in touch.

I haven't personally, but I'm sure somebody here has. Sorry I can't be more help. I know how frustrating it is waiting for first AF after m/c, no fun!!  Let us know how your levels are after you get them checked. I really hope you get AF soon so you can go back to ttc :)

I called my Dr yesterday and they said that spotting again all the sudden after stopping for a week is not uncommon. I took a pregnancy test and it was positive so I know my hcg isnt back to normal yet, but it was 1700 a week and a half ago and prior to then it had been decreasing about 1000 per day. Well, today, I started actually bleeding again, and not just spotting. I'm back to wearing a pad again today :(   SOOOOO frustrating!! I'm going next week to have my hcg checked again. Anyone else had this happen where they stopped spotting after m/c then started back up again?

Don't worry :) You'll be back to ttc soon. I totally understand the need to ttc right away. Just remember that your body is healing right now, so take 'er easy. :)

I was getting my hopes up that it could be AF already...which would make ttc again even sooner than I thought!! But, I'm sure its probably not AF yet. Probably leftover hormones from the m/c. Thanks!!

Yeah to soon to be AF. I bleed for about 7 days after my m/c and 21 days later (3 weeks) i got my first AF which only last 3 days to it was great.
Hope everything is ok.

I agree with steph9803, it just seems too soon to be AF you should see.  My levels were down 2 days after I started to m/c (I was only 5 weeks max.). I bled for 7 or 8 days (quite heavy with a lot of clotting-sorry! TMI!) and it took 14 weeks to get AF back. It's prob. some leftover bleeding, but to be sure you should probably get checked out. Hope everything is ok.

Even if your levels dropped that fast it seems too soon for AF. I would call the dr. and see what they say. I only bled for 6 days after my m/c and AF returned 34 days from m/c. know my levels were down 2 weeks after b/c I took some HPT's and they were all BFN. Sorry I can't be of more help.
