6W 4D pregnant, no heartbeat, and large ovarian cyst

I went in when I was 6 weeks and 4 days pregnant and had an ultrasound done. They saw the embryo but no heartbeat, my doctor also said that the embryo was small, but didnt' elaborate. Then he discovered a rather large ovarian cyst on my left ovary, but didn't tell me how big it was exactly, or explain what effect that might have on my baby.

I'm rather freaked out because this is our first pregnancy and I dont know if I'm supposed to have seen the heartbeat or not. The doctor didn't look concerned, he just told me to come back for another ultrasound in two weeks. His lack of explanation of anything has me concerned. Should I be worried, or am I just overreacting?

You are ONLY 6 weeks 4 days. If you are off your dates by 4 or 5 days, you may not see a hb  yet. I answered on the other forum too.

Well I'm not your DR or A DR but I had the same thing happen went in for my 2nd ultrasound and it showed no heartbeat and my dr told me the baby was no longer alive I had miscarried and I could not beleave that it was happening I asked if it could be wrong and she said yes but to get a 2nd DR to look at it. I had no bleeding or anything 2nd DR said same thing and showed me on my ultrasound video where you would see the heartbeat 2 days later I started to bleed and passed the sac and baby that night.. Sorry this is happening I really hate that anyone has  to have this happen. I have been so depressed and it's been almost 11 months and I'm not pregnant again.. I wish you luck and hope everything works out for you..
