Baby was still there

I started bleeding lightly about 1wk ago and then I started passing a few clots nothing very large. I have not experienced any pain and the clotting lasted 2 days. I went to the ER because my Dr. Office was closed for Christmas. There, I received a pelvic exam and an u/s where the they found a 6 wk gestation baby with a blood test of B-Hcg level at 23,000  Since that point I have decreased bleeding significantly with no clots. I could not have passed the baby but my B-Hcg levels decreed from 23,000 down to 21,000. My question is: once clotting has started why would it stop and why haven't I noticed pain? All this has happened A couple of days before Chirstmas and the last blood test was done in the ER by the same Dr. on Christmas Eve.

I have not set my appt yet because my OB's office does not open until tomorrow, because Christmas was on Sunday so obviously people can't work Monday! I will be on the phone at 8am though. I will tell them all that has transpired and hope they will see me asap!

I'm really sorry you're going thru this.  I'm wondering if the m/c has started but hasn't completed yet.  the first m/c I had, I bled a little and then everything stopped.  I ended up having to have a D&C.  With my 2nd m/c, I bled a lot but never had pain.  And then with my 3rd, I had a lot of pain.  I just think it's different for every woman and with every m/c.

Do you have an appt with your OB set up?  They will probably do another scan and be able to tell you what's going on.  Again, I'm really sorry.
