Going through another M/C

Hi everyone. I wanted to ask a few questions in here. I had a m/c Sept/2008 I was 8-weeks and we had sent it for genetics tests and it was a Chromsome Anormality we had took some time off and had my IUI done on Jan/29 and found out I was pregnant by blood on Feb 16 BETA was only 37 which was low I was to start progesterone suppositories and baby aspirin, I had more blood work today and unfortunatly my level is only 35 so its dropping and I had mild cramping and bleeding yesterday including passing tissue. So of course they want me to come back tuesday for more blood work but we are also using Donar Sperm so do you think its me considering I have PCOS and dont have a problem getting pregnant its staying pregnant or should we be advised to choose another donor? I am at a a loss here and dont know if i will need a D&C or not.

I'm sorry for your loss. I would ask your dr if you need a d and c. It all depends sometimes it takes alittle while to actually pass the pg naturally and some women don't. It is not uncommon to miscarry. How many total have you had. Have you had testing done to check your cervix etc? The best one to answer if it is the donor I think would be the re dr. My dh and I have 3 kids and yet we have had 6 losses. You just never know.I'm sorry I'm not of more help I just dont' want to tell you the wrong thing or give you any false hope either. I hope you get your answers soon. Best wisehs to you and I hope you have a speedy recovery.....Bam had  great idea about the fertility forum..

I'm very sorry for your loss.  DH and I haven't gotten to the IUI route yet . . .  But I do know that one of the benefits of the IUI is that they "wash" the sperm first and should be taking out any of the abnormal ones.  That's not to say that one sneaked through.  I assume you are seeing an RE?  The dr really should be able to answer your question.  I don't know much about donor sperm and if you're not attached to your donor is it an issue to get a different one?  Also, it probably wouldn't hurt to get more genetic testing done on your end.  You could also try posting your question in the Fertility Forum.  They are very familliar with IUI over there.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks so much for both of your support its a trying time right now and feel so depressed just crying more than ever. I will wait and see aon what my doctor suggests or what my blood work is on tuesday, I assume if i am told to stop medication then assuming not going well at all. I will just have to ask a genetics counselor and see as I just dont know whats happening and unsure if there is a way to tell.

I'm so sorry for your losses..I can't be much help with your questions, because I don't know much about IUI. I know they do say that most early m/c's are due to chromosome abnormalities. It's just so hard to tell without knowing why exactly you are losing this one. It could be a fluke, or it could be something to do with the donor. You and your family will be in my thoughts. *hugs*

I myself had a m/c and I had a d&c done because they advised me to clean out any tissues that might still be inside.. I don't think I have a problem getting pregnant as well it's holding it that I'm worried about just like you. You should go to the doctors and get a check up and see what they say about a d&c. Sorry if I didn't answer all your questions but I will pray for you and wish all goes well.
