Started spotting at 7 weeks pregnant

Hi all, I'm about 7 weeks pregnant and in saturday I go stomach cramps and ad on Sunday I had stomach cramps and diarrhea all day. At around 5 yesterday I had my last poo, and then at 8 I went to the toilet and had light pinkish mucus, so my bf took me to the er but they said that it could go either way. He felt my stomach and listens to it and said everything seems ok. Today I've only seen abut of pink in my mucus but only the once. What do you think it could be?

I have an ultra sound on Thursday, it is now Tuesday. The spotting is still there but it's still just so light. Like it's only a smudge on the toilet paper. And my stomach still hurts but I think most of the pain is from my gassiness and needing to poo. I've been having back aches and mild cramps since before I found out I was pregnant. So I think that's normal, so hopefully all is well. I'm on strict bedrest ATM. Lol.xx

It's hard to say for sure but there are a few posibilities. First since you had stomach upset it may be something like listera bacteria or another type of food disagreement. I would watch things carefully and see if your belly returns to normal. If it gets worse you really will need to go back to the ER.

As for the pinkish spotting it could be a subchorionic hematoma which is a small bloot clot that usually resolves itself by 18 weeks. This can only be diagnosed by ultrasound.

Have you had an ultrasound yet? Is there a heartbeat? You should be able to hear a hb by 6 weeks.

You may have to use the wait and see approach for the next few days. If you get more cramping along with red spotting or bleeding I would go to the ER again as you may be miscarrying. It also may just be something you ate..

Good luck to you.
