Still bleeding almost 2 weeks post D&C

Hi, I am still bleeding (mostly brown blood) almost 2 weeks after my D&C, which occurred when I was 7 weeks along and baby did not have a heartbeat.  Did my doctor over-scrape and this is why I'm still bleeding?  She used the vacuum (?) but also seemed to scrape a lot.  I've heard it's normal to bleed for no longer than a week or no more than a normal period.  Has this happened to anyone else?  Were you able to get pregnant after a long bleeding post D&C?  I'm concerned my doctor over-scraped and now I might have scar tissue that could prevent me from getting pregnant in the future or causing me to miscarry again.  Thanks for your help.

I went through a d&c in February.  I also spotted brown for about 10 days...as long as it stays light and brown with no clots or heavy flow you should be fine.  I am sure that there is no concern of scar tissue or over scraping. I would think that the flow would be heavier and red if that were the case....

I just had a D&C on Wednesday.  I was 7 1/2 weeks pregnant but the follow up u/s measured my baby at 6 w 2 days with no heartbeat.  There was no growth so I opted for the D&C right away at the clinic.  I expressed concerns about scarring but my RE reassured me because my lining was very thick and my pregnancy was very early (he said the risk increased if you are further advanced in your pregnancy).  The procedure was also guided by ultrasound.

Except for a major gush yesterday, I've only had spotting.  The RE and nurse told me to expect bleeding up to two weeks and that it wouldn't be heavy, but I am to page the Dr. if I soaked through a pad in two hours.

So please tell your Dr. if you are continuing to bleed.

I am feeling so sad and sorry for both of us right now.  We've just gone through the same thing.

hi i had a d&c lil over a month ago i also was bleeding at 2 weeks and was still spotting a lil at three but when i went to doc he said everything looked great and i could ttc again right away and we are going to start as soon as i see my doc again due to other health prob were haveing but if your that worried you should talk to you doc just to put your mind at ease cause i also called my doc cause i was still bleeding after two weeks i also had lots of clotting but i hope this helped and goodluck...oh and it is recomended that women wait 1 cycle b4 ttc ...baby dust to you ~*~*~*~*
