When to see the doctor

Hi everyone.  I have been posting on here the last few days and I mentioned that I had a m/c about 5 weeks ago and then got pregnant again with no period in between.  I am about 4 1/2 weeks.   I had my hcg levels monitored around 13 and 15 dpo and the numbers were 50 and 139.  The next step is to see the doctor but I am frustrated because they can not see me until Jan 13, and by then I will be 12 weeks.

I am going to call and plead that they make room for me earlier because I am paranoid after just having the miscarriage and being pregnant again so soon.  My question is, if they say "sorry, we cant do anything" do you think I should complain and tell them I will find a new doctor?  Do you think I should request an u/s with a technician?  I really like my doctor, she delivered my 2 year old, so I hope she understands.   For those that are pregnant after m/c, when was your first ob appointment?  Thank you!!

just an update: the nurse called me today and said they want me to come in around 6 or 7 weeks for an ultrasound! I am going to go in on Dec, which is when I will be 7 weeks.  I feel relieved that I don't have to wait for 2 months! Thanks for the support!

Congrats on the BFP.  I was able to see my dr 6 weeks after LMP, and he did an ultrasound that day.  I was supposed to go back 4 weeks later, but when I told him I wasn't feeling well 2 weeks ago he had me come in again.  He only wanted to see the HB, but it was too early on the doppler so he did another u/s that day.  I have another appointment on Wednesday of this week, and he already told me that I will not leave his office without hearing the hb, so we will do an u/s if needed.  I completely agree: be aggressive because this time is stressful enough without having to worry for 12 weeks.  Take care, and good luck.

Thank you both for you reply! I feel better now about being more aggressive with my doctor and I feel like they need to be understanding, even if it is unnecessary .. it will give me some answers and peace of mind.   I think my doctor is super busy, as they said I cant get in until Jan 13.  It makes me mad, I guess if they don't see me I will have to tell her I am going to find a new doctor.   Thanks guys!  Good luck your way also.

I would find a different dr for sure. that is too long to wait to see someone especially getting a BFP after having a M/C with no AF in between.

I'm not sure my dpo I didn't really pay attention. I can tell you my obgyn does not live by the numbers he just wants to see them rising. I'm almost 6 weeks. I have a u/s on 11/26 so I will have a better Idea. If my dr told me I would have to wait that long I would find another dr. Also if you are concerned in the mean time you can go to the er it will be a while but you will leave with your hcg level or you can go to a reproductive clinic and tell them your situation. I'm sorry you have to go through this. I too had a m/c in sep out of nowhere at 5 1/2 weeks and since having pos hpts I have had 3 blood draws before my first dr's app which I had on the 18th. You should really find another dr. Good luck and lots of sticky dust to you!

I can not believe that they wont see you!!!! My ob told me to call the day I get my BFP so he can get me in to do bloodwork every two days and to do an u/s every couple of weeks...You really need to see a dr. if only to put your mind at ease. You don't want to be soooo stressed out for 12 weeks for nothing.
