am i still pregnant or have i mis-carried ??

hi ppl my last period was on the 5th of november i did a test 1st december and it had a faded pink line in the positive region, so i did a digital test which said pregnant 1-2 which means 3-4 weeks since LMP.  On friday the 2nd i had a slight bit of spotting, on saturday the 3rd it was like i was having a normal period with light period cramps i went to A+E  where i was fitted with a canula and put on fluid then they did a pregnancy test and they said it was borderline, i then ent to maternity ward to see a gynaecologist they did another test which said negative they did an internal exam, and they took another blood test to check my hcg levels, iwas later discharged, now today sunday 4th december i gt my results to say my hcg levels were 23 and to go in tomorrow for another blood test to check hcg i am really confused as to wether i have had a  early miscarriage or if i am still pregnant i hope some one has answers for me :)

The next blood test will tell you what's going on.  Good luck and hope your hcg number goes up.

I posted on your other thread....but basically you could be finished.  Since you were so early there may be nothing much to pass.  I had a chemical pregnacy last year and all I did was bleed like a period.  It wasn't heavy and I didn't have any pain.  I also didn't pass any clots or anything.

i am really sorry  i know its hard. but do not worry you will conceive a better one next time. have they done you scan to see whether you have passed all the tissues? it should only be a sac as you were very early.

If your HCG are low urine test some times are unable to catch that. i was thinking usually doctors use extra sensitive strips if your hcg are 23 then they should have been able to detect positive may be light at least positive test unless of course they are using 25ui to detect pregnancy. anyway do not worry. just relax and i am hoping you get best answer soon enough... if not do not get discouraged because you will conceive a better one next time :)

Yes Possibility.. 1/4 pregnancies end up with MC. and most of them happen before you even know you are pregnant. when you say pregnancy tests? were they doing blood or urine? because looking at your HCG levels i think they should have been more then 23. if you are 4 weeks or above this number should have been increased. however it could be possible that your days were off and you are only 1 week or so. another blood test should show some progress. if not and number has gone down then things won't be right. however don't worry hope for best. and if blood test shows high number make sure to ask for scan just for peace of your mind...

Best of luck..... i hope things work out for you.....
