I agree with what Latrice said. I' m so sorry that you have had to go through this a second time. I definitely think it's worth mentioning to you Endocronologist and maybe since you have had health problems, they won't make you go through another m/c for testing. My dr said that most dr's will make you wait till you have a 3rd to do testing, but he doesn't believe that a woman should have to go through that and said if I had another one, they would start investigating. Best of luck to you. Please let us know how you are doing.
I'm so sorry for your losses...It is something that noone should ever have to go through once let alone twice. My dr. told me since I had healthy pregnancies prior to my m/c that they wouldn't do any testing unless I had another m/c. So maybe your dr. will look more into it now..You have come to the right place though. The ladies here are such a good support no matter what you are going through. You are in my thoughts and prayers..
thank you so much. and yes miscarriage is definitely the worst thing i have even been through. even with this last one being so early i was still so devastated. as soon as u even THINK you are pregnant you cant help but get excited. last year around this time i had a peritonsilar absess which drained down into my lungs and ended up causing alot of problems. They had me in an induced coma for two weeks and i stayed in the icu for 2 weeks after i woke up. one problem that caused was my pituitary gland is a little large and they have me seeing a neurologist and endocrinoligist and going for MRI's yearly to make sure it doesnt keep swelling. last time i was at the endo he asked if i'd ever had any miscarriages but that was before i had even had one. so i should definitely mention both of my failed pregnancies to him because he might be able to figure something out?? i cant imagine having to go through another one before the docs start checking into it. ONE was enough.. TWO is two too many.... thank you so much for your help i am so clueless frustrated and confused
Im so sorry that you are going threw this and about your loss in june.
From what is sounds like from the info you gave, it seems as if you are having a m/c with your hcg levels dropping so low. It sounds as if it was a chemical pregnancy, where the fertilized egg does not implant into the uterus, the true cause of chemical pregnancies is unkown and there is no specific treatement for it. You may just have a natural m/c being you were so early in the pregnancy, your dr should monitor your levels until they get to zero to make sure the m/c was complete.
I would talk to your dr about doing a recurrent m/c workup, to check for things like blood clotting disorders, folic acid disorders. Also you may want to consider seeing a RE(reproductive endocrinologist=fertility specialist) bcuz most drs will tell you they dont want to do any test unless youve had 3 m/c's but why make a woman go threw something like that if she can have the work up done to see if there are any simple reasons why you are m/c. I also had a missed m/c in june then a d&c but i was 10weeks along.
I will keep you in my prayers
