have i lost my baby

hello i went to hospital last week and found out i was pregnant ,they took my hcg level and it was 550.I went again 2 days later and it was 350 what does this mean i am so confused ,im waiting on more results .Does this mean i have lost my baby .thankyou

i no how you feel, i just found out 4 days ago that im preggie but i had been bleeding so they did test and my HCG levels droped from 165.4 iu/l to 132.3 iu/l in 2days. I no everyone say that your levels are ment to increase but sometimes they do drop. have another test and see what it says. I also had a scan that showed nothing was in there or it was way to early to tell. It's just a waiting game now but i no how you feel......dont think i'v ever cryed so much

I am "Sorry" to answer this question as having recently been in this situation myself I know how horrible and upsetting it can be and it may not be the answer You want to hear.
I had this happening to me recently and Your hcg levels are meant to double every 48 hours not drop. It is not a good sign for them to be dropping it usually means that You're losing the baby.

It doesn't seem to promising. Your numbers in early pregnancy should double every 48-72 hours. If they are dropping there most likely something not right. I am so sorry about this. I hope you are doing ok. Good luck =)

I am not quite sure what it means but I know if it declines it could have been a miscarriage.  How far along are you?  I think all women are different and some women's hcg levels decrease and then they go on to have healthy babies.  Try and be positive and don't put too much pressure on yourself.

I miscarried at 14 weeks on the 13th April and I am waiting for my hcg level results tomorrow to see if they have gone done.  I am looking forward to ttc again at same stage.  If you have lost your baby there are a lot of women on here that are going through the same things as you so try and relax and try and be positive.  I know it's hard but you will get through it.

Don't think you have lost your baby until you have cofirmation from the doctor's.  Be positive and am thinking of you.
