That is great that you got your period!  Did your levels also go down to zero?  The reason I ask is that at one point after my D&C, I had a "period" that was lighter, but then when I took the blood test, my numbers weren't at 0.  My doc said that my body was trying to get it all out, but it didn't.  I certainlly hope this isn't the case for you, but that is what happend to me.

my period finally came last monday i have never ever been so glad to have one,  at last i can rest and start trying again, although it was rather light my nurse told me to expect a heavy period, but it has lasted for much much longer than they normally do so maybe this it's compensating in its own way.

only worried now that my 2nd one won't come as i have read many women on here get their first one and thats it.

oh so complicated to be a women!!!!

That's what my doctor thought with mine too, but after 3 1/2 months I still wasn't at 0.  I hit 17 one week and the next week it was the same.  So, I had another D&C, which got it all out, but now almost a year after the m/c, I am still not able to try again, because I develped scar tissue in my uterus after the 2nd D&C. I have had it removed by a specialist, and am now waiting to get my period back and have an HSG to make sure it is all gone.

So, maybe talk to you doctor about that.  It is now my thought that natural is better, but it wasn't coming out naturally, and I feel like since I waited so long maybe the tissue got set in more, and that is why I develped scar tissue.

I am sorry!  I know this waiting is awful and it is one thing after another.  Eventually though it will all work out and you can move on.  Good luck!

I do not think it is possible to ovulate once you are pregnant.  My levels never went down to 0 after my m/c.  I had to have a second D&C to get the retained tissue out.  It sounds like you might be in the same position as I was.  What does your doctor want you to do?  Does he/she think the products will come out naturally?

I have had 4 miscarriages and it took my levels 8-10 weeks to get back down to zero.  Sometimes it takes a while for the levels to come back down and 9 weeks could take a while.  I was 6 weeks pregnat when I lost mine and it took my levels that long to come back down.

Good luck!
