how long does bleeding last after miscarriage

ok this may be TMI but i need to ask i lost my baby yesterday i had a few big clots and then passed the baby. but today i havent had that much clotting until about an hour ago i started getting really bad cramp and lower back pain with a bit more blood than normal which i know it means im still passing everything im just wondering how long will it take to pass everything and for the bleeding to stop this is my first miscarriage so i dont really know what to expect can anyone help me thanks

With my miscarriage, I passed large clots for 3 days, then bled like a period for another week or so.

All miscarriages are different. I have had 4 and with this last one I only bled for one day then spotted off and on for 2 weeks. With my 2nd which was the heaviest I bled real heavy for like a week and a half then spotted off and on for like 3 weeks!!! Just make sure you are not filling up a pad an hr. if that happens then you need to go to the er.
