how soon after miscarriage

I had a miscarriage at 8weeks pregnant,my partner and i were trying for about 6 months before. At the hospital i asked a Maturnal nurse how long we should wait before trying again she told me 1 cycle, i carried on to see my doctor who said 2 cycles, so unsure i asked my midwife she said 3 cycles.i have read so many forums and articles online but still no real answer, does anybody recommended waiting the 3 cycles, could something go wrong if i try earlier? If anybody has some facts not just stories it would be really appreciated as i don't want to go through losing a baby ever again

If you had a natural and uncomplicated m/c, you should be okay to try again right away.  Most doctors tell you to wait bc of the emotional aspect of the m/c.  With a D&C, where they scrape the uterine lining they like you to wait a cycle or two to make sure it's all healed.  I've know women who got pregnant after a natural m/c before ever having a cycle and have perfectly healthy pregnancies. Good luck.

I'm sorry for your loss. The recommendations for everyone are different. The reason they tell you to wait 1-3 cycles is to the uterus lining a chance to thicken, this will give the fertilized egg a better chance at implanting itself in to the lining. I had a miscarriage in August, at nine weeks five days and my doctor said that I was good to go as soon as the bleeding stops I've been trying ever since with nothing but negative pregnancy tests. I hope this helps, message me if you ever want to talk. :)
