light period after d&c

hi all
i'm wondering if anyone can give me more information about a "normal" first af after a d&c. my first af post d&c started yesterday, it is very light (red blood) and somewhat "clotty". is this normal? i thought the first period after a d&c was supposed to be very heavy. im very concerned about scarring and ashermans syndrome...please help!

thanks for your response and concern:
my "real" af started after the spotting and is actually heavy as predicted so im no longer concerned about scarring. miscarriages make you worry about everthing i guess.....horrible!

I read (and was told by my dr) that the first AF can be like anything.  It could be light or heavy, long or short (but at least 4 days I think).  If your concerned call your dr's office and ask if a light period is ok.  

Did you have a lot of bleeding right after the D&C?  I did hear that SOME women who don't have much bleeding after the D&C don't have as heavy of a first AF as some women who have heavy bleeding afterwards.
