miscarriage

i had a miscarrige at 11 weeks pregnant.  went in for my check up and the dr said all the test came back normal.  so he wanted us to give it one good menstral period then try to concieve again if we are ready.   so i guess my question is, is it to soon?  is it going to be easier or harder to concieve now?  (it took us 5 yrs to have my daughter then 3 more to have a miscarriage)  thanks for you time.

I asked my dr. that same question, and ufortunaltey she said there is no medical proof that it is any easier after a m/c.  I thought my body would be ready and know what to do, but that has not been the case for me.  Some people I have talked to said it was eaiser for them, but I don't know how easy it was the first time for them.  it apparentley takes me a while.    i do hope for you it happens as soon as you are ready.  this waiting is driving my nuts!

So sorry for your loss

and for the difficulty in conceiving

The good news is that you can conceive

Some people cannot conceive at all, and it is a tormenting situation for more people than we realize.

I don't have an answer for your exact question, except to say that it may be difficult to conceive regardless.

Thanks for your advise, and no i have not had any test done about concieving yet.  I did bring it up at my last appt, my Dr. said that i could have a hormonal problem that when i do get pregnant that they dont go up like they should so i could be getting pregnant but having a miscarriage before i even know im expecting.  So im really not sure, but i guess thats my next step.  I was just wondering if it would be easier to concieve now that i just had a miscarriage, like it is after you have a baby full term?  Thanks again for your time

Well, my drs. told me about the same as Tiger said.  it took us years to finally get pregnant and now we have been trying again since april.  I am using the ovulation kits help, still nothing, but hopeful.  my clycles are irregular, but I have heard you can buy the ovulation kits on line for a lot cheaper than in the stores, so testing often wont be so expensive.    Good luck ladies!

I think when you're ready is the best time to TTC again. My GP suggested to wait 3 cycles before TTC but my specialist said after one is ok. My specialist said there is no clear evidence that you are more or less fertile after miscarriage. He said it can go either way. He advised me to TTC again sooner rather than later incase it does take us a while.
I have irregular periods so it's really hard to know when i'm ovulating so i'm going to seek further help in regulating my cycles to improve my chnces. Have you seen anyone about your difficulties in concieving? 5 and 3 years is a long time!
