i was only a month pregnant when i m/c and my doc said to wait
one cycle. it all depends how far along was your wifes pregnacy and what type of m/c she had. i know from the day a girl m/c about 10 or 14 days after we ovulate and we are extremely fertile. good luck!

I am sorry for your loss.  I can just tell you what my doctor told me straight after my miscarriage.  I was 14 weeks when I miscarried and the doctor at the hospital said we could start trying whenever we wanted.  About should the doc have sent her to the hospital? If you want peace of mind then feel free to go but they will probably just make you wait around all day and then they will probably just tell you there is nothing they can do.  If you and your wife feel uneasy request an ultrasound through your doctor or get a second opinion and check the hcg levels.  If she is in pain then take her to hospital.  When can you try again?  It is really hard to predict after a micarriage.  Some people say to count 14 days from when the bleeding started.  She could ovulate around there or you could just have intercourse every third day around that time or just before.  Some women do not ovulate every month so that makes it hard as well if you are actively trying.  There are plenty of ovuation calculators you and your wife could type into google to help you
