no heartbeat when baby is 1.2 cm

I did my vaginal usg and the baby was 1.2 cms but with no heartbeat. Doc asked me to wait for a week. I did another vaginal usg a week later and it had almost the same result. My doc as adviced me to do another usg in 3 days and then if things are the same we have to do dnc. I neither have bleeding nor cramps and still have hope that everything will be fine.

If you don't have any pain or cramps or bleeding, you could reschedule your appointment for a full week from now. That way, you could be more sure of there being no heart beat and feel good about the D & C. I mean, if there's no pain, what's the hurry to get it out...

After having a miscarriage and dealing with an overly confident (arrogant) medical staff that made plenty of errors, I would wait. That being said, you need to be ready for a natural miscarriage to begin (it could) if they are right...

Hope everything works out.
