not sure if this is a miscarriage

I am 5wks pregnant. yesterday I suddenly had a mood swing, some cramping. I stopped feeling pregnant. I have been spotting for a day and a half now with backache and cramps but no red bleeding or clots. the nausea and headaches I have been feeling for the last two weeks are gone too.
the pain is mild. can it be a miscarriage without the bleeding yet?

Spotting is normal, but bleeding heavily is not.  My best advice is to remain calm, go light duty for a few weeks, (no lifting or heavy pulling or vacuuming) just to be sure that you're not over-doing it.  The first 13 weeks are critical to the baby so just be careful about stress and anxiety.  I didn't do this my first pregnancy and the stress and anxiety I was putting myself through didn't help anything.  A miscarriage symptom would be strong abdominal pains, cramping and red bleeding and also contractions. Be careful and best of wishes!

It's not likely that you're having a miscarriage, but if you are not sure then it's always best to call your doctor or go to the ER.  If you can try to relax a little so that you don't become completely stressed out.  Besides you may not feel pregnant everyday that you are in the beginning.  There are good days and bad.  When you get towards the end of the pregnancy, you won't be able to help but feel pregnant during every waking moment.  I hope this helps.  I'll keep you in my thoughts, and I hope that you and the little one is okay.
