could taking the pill have caused my miscarriage?

Hey, I miscarried about a week and a half ago, at nine weeks five days. I'm becoming a bit obsessed with what I could have done to keep my baby.. and I remembered that I took the pill up until I was about 5 weeks pregnant. Could this have caused my miscarriage? It's killing me to think I could have killed my baby.

Please don't put yourself through this.  The others are right.  The vast majority of the time a miscarriage is almost predetermined at the moment of conception.  There is just nothing we can do to stop it from happening, at least in first trimester.  Your feelings on this are so normal and so common - I think most of us go through this.  We question everything we did, ate or drank.  The reality is, there is almost nothing you can do to miscarry a healthy fetus.

The good news is most women will not experience this twice in a row.  I wish you peace and healing.

Naan is right ..99% of the time the miscarriage is unavoidable..birth control pills wouldn't make you miscarry ...very sorry you went through this but you need to stop blaming yourself most of the time they can not give answers as to why it happens ..I hope one day you find peace an I wish you success when you are ready to try again ..

I'm sorry for your loss. Did your doctor give you any information as to why you may have miscarried?
A lot of the time it is due to a chromosome problem with the baby, either too many or not enough. Unfortunatly there would not have been anything you could do.
