pregnant?

1 month ago i found out that i was 5 weeks pregnant by my last period. i staryed bleeding this same morning so i had an ultrasound done. they could not see a sack or the baby so then they wanted to do blood work to get my hcg levels. it came back at a 24.99, 2 days later i had the blood work done again. this time the hcg level came back at 14. the doctor said i am having a miscarriage.  the next week i woke uo in so much pain i could not move. i went to the doctor for this and they did more blood work. this time my hcg level was 10.  1 week later they wanted to repeat blood work again to make sure miscarriage was over and hcg level was normal again. this time it came back at 27 so they did another ultrasound. i was worried when this happened so i came home and tooj a pregnancy test on 11-1-10.  it came back positive. they called today and said the ultrasound showed nothing that everything is ok. so i asked why my hcg level could be going up. they did not have an answer. they said they will repeat blood work in 1 month. i came home and took another pregnancy test on 11-2-10.  this test also came back positive. could i still be pregnant or is there something wrong with me?

i called the doctor today and asked y the 2 pregnancy tests r comin up positive. she said home pregnancy tests read hcg levels 9 and above. i also asked if they looked for a tubal just to rule that out. she said ''i think so''   not what i really wanna hear but now its just wait and see what happens.

it is weird that they are rising again. have they ruled out an ectopic? with an ectopic pregnancy your hormones change but only slightly, this could be dangerous and might be a good idea. if you had an ultrasound though.. i am assuming they may have seen it. the hormone will stay in your body until you pass all the tissue and the baby. some doctors will tell you it can take up to 6 weeks for the hormone to go back down completely, but with someone women it doesn't always take that long. if you are miscarrying the best thing to do is wait until you have one normal period to try again that way you know the hormone will be completely gone and the next time you get a positive it'll definitely mean you're pregnant again.

even if you are miscarrying your pregnancy test will still say positive. until the hormone is completely out of your system if will say positive, so it might be a good idea to stop taking them. i know it's hard but it will just make it worse. all you can do right now is wait and see what happens. 5 weeks is really early for an ultrasound, usually you can see a yolk sac but it's possible you may be a bit earlier than you think and that's why they can't see anything but the low and dropping HCG is worrying and usually indicates a miscarriage. However, nothing is wrong with you, so don't think that. Miscarriage is common and happens to like 50% of all first pregnancies. It is hard but it does not mean you can't go on to have a healthy baby. I have lost three babies, my son was born around 20 weeks because i went into labor and doctors could not stop it, he died later that same day, i miscarried with my second at 5 weeks and with my third my daughter was stillborn because i went into pre term labor that couldn't be stopped. i totally know the pain of waiting and waiting to find out if the baby is ok and i hope everything works out for you. just prepare yourself for either outcome and keep yourself as positive as possible.
