Over 7 weeks after D&C and no period

I had a D&C on July 1, i was 8 weeks pregnant (fetus had no heartbeat and had stopped growing at 6 weeks 2 days). I still have not gotten my period. I'm 99.9% sure i'm not pregnant either - zero symptoms (i usually get really sore breasts and that is my tell tale sign). Has anyone waited over 7 weeks for AF after a D&C of only 8 weeks pregnant? My dr was surprised that I had not gotten it at 5 weeks after but said maybe the whole procedure stressed my body out. I'm starting to freak out.

I was just over 11w when I had the D&C but the baby had passed around 7w. My body just wasn't getting the message.

almost 8 weeks and nothing. Will call my dr thurs if i still don't get it - that will be the exact 8 week mark. the weird thing is that one minute i feel like i could get AF  and the next i'm fine. this happened last month too for a couple of days. MJmorn - how far along were you when you had your miscarriage?

I didn't get my period for about 10w after D&C. My doctor started me on Provera after 8w without AF. They told me it should start 4 to 8 weeks after the procedure. If you haven't gotten one at 8w after, try to call the doctor to see if he can start you on something. Sometimes your body just needs a jumpstart. After my AF after Provera I think my cycle is back to normal. From my calculations, I'm supposed to get AF on Tues the 24th and the way I feel, she's on her way so I think the Provera worked in that it got me back on track. Good luck and I'm so sorry you have to go thru this.

I'm really sorry for your loss. it can take a few cycles (months) for our bodies to heal and regulate, unfortunately. It's not uncommon to not have a period now. It can be quite annoying playing the waiting game. Your body is trying to recover and get back to normal it works over time trying to do that. Good luck I'm here if you need to talk or pass the time away! Best wishes to you.
