praying it's not a miscarriage!

I had an IVF done and the result came back positive, I am around 41/2 weeks pregnant, three days ago I started bleeding, it started as light with very bad cramping then it got heavier with clots, went to the ER, they told me that my cervix is still closed, my HCG is still up but they couldn't see anything in the ultrasound!
did another ultrasound 2 days later "which is yesterday" and they said they couldn't see anything, either because it's too early or maybe that I already lost it :(
last two days the bleeding kinds of subsided, but today I passed another clot. I'm still waiting for the 2nd HCG which was done yesterday but I have to wait until monday.
Is there a chance that it's not a miscarriage

ladies... Thank you so much.. it's really comforting to know that I'm not alone, and to know that someone feels my pain.
Guess we'll have to go for another InVitro soon :(

I am so sorry that you are bleeding more now .. chemical pg's are very hard to deal with .. the excitement that you're on this journey only to have it snuffed out so soon .. make sure you take time to grieve properly .. a loss is a loss no matter when it happened.  look after yourself!!

Congrats on your pg. Honestly it's rare that you see the baby earlier than 6 wks and after. I have always been so envious of friends that were able too. Bleeding is very very common early on in pg, unfortunately. There is no way to determine a m/c other than monitoring your hcg levels. I would keep having them checked a few days apart a few more times and def req another u/s. Try to rest and relax and it's so important to stay well hydrated. It stinx right now but all you can do is wait! Easier said than done I know I have been there many many times but honestly if your dr isn't concerned you shouldn't be either ! Just beware and keep doing what your doing ! Take things moment by moment try not to overwhelm yourself. I'm here if you need to talk! Please keep me posted and let me know what happens!
