Dandruff & facial flakiness (suspected seborrhea)

I have noticed that my scalp and eyebrows get flaky when I'm feeling really bad.  I'm not sure if this is b/c I can't take as good care of myself or if it has something to do with the illness itself.  If it is seborrhea it doesn't seem to increase with stress, at least not yet.

Does anyone else have issues with this or something similar?

My scalp can get so tender I can't take water on it from the shower for more than a few seconds (either one side or small areas about the size of a golfball).

Thanks to both of you.  I'll try T-Gel as it is more in my budget.

I have suborrhic dermatitis on my face.  It looks like rosacea. I had it for several years and they kept prescribing rosacea treatment (metro cream) which did not help much.  Finally a dermatologist said it was rosacea and seborrhic dermatitis and prescribed a compound cream of ketoderm and hydrocortison and it cleared right up! Now it's flaired up a few times and the cream takes care of it.

Have you tried Neutregena T-Gel? I was having scalp itch and my face was a mess, all red at splotchy. I started using T-Gel and not only my scalp but face cleared up. It smells strong so I cut it.
