need a diagnosis

Hi, I have a very lot of symptoms that over the last couple of months most of them started.

Well, first i will mention that my Dr. thought of possibly MS, so he sent me for an MRI without the dye and there was solitary white matter that signal abnormality.  The periventricular location and orientation are both features that  would support the diagnosis of demyelinating disease.  the problem is my Dr. dont seem to care and I'm left with no help and new symptoms every day.  here is a list of some of them:
1) My right arm has been numb for a month and the middle of my back/spine has been numb for a long time.
2) My memory is so bad and i forget words when I'm talking.
3) I have severe vision issues that aren't recognized in an eye exam.
4)I have constant burning, itching, tingling all over my body in one spot after the other.  like a pins and needles feeling
5)I have severe soreness in my arms, wrist, hands, and fingers.
6) My legs and feet have been falling asleep for no reason meaning I wasn't laying or sitting on them and it stays that way for like 20 min.
7)  Bladder issues.
8) I feel weak like I can't lift my body.
There are other symptoms also PLEASE HELP ME  could this be MS or something similar.

Welcome I am sorry for your frustration I sure can relate to it. I am not a Doctor just a person who went through two years of testing to get a diagnosis. I was very confused and felt like the Doctors were not taking me seriously. There are over 800 Neurological disorders and over 30 mimics of MS this is why Doctors have to figure out what is wrong and why it can take awhile.

First was the Doctor a Neurologist? Neurologists Specialize some only do head aches, some do pain and some do MS.

Second Neurologists usually like to see you over time. Usually every six months. Sometimes people are diagnosed quickly but that is not the norm. Many tests are done. Usually lots of blood work to rule out other diseases.

Third the two types of eye issues with MS are double vision and Optic Neuritis which effects one eye. The Specialist who deals with these is a Neuro Opthamologist.

Forth MS symptoms are usually unilateral. They are not even on both side of the body. For example I have weakness and most symptoms on the left side.

I sure hope you have some follow up appointment.

Alex

Hi and welcome to the forum. First off let me say that we are not doctors so we can not diagnos you here on the forum but we can give our opinions and experiences and lend support while you are going through the process of diagnosis.

Alot of your symptoms are similar to MS but just so you are aware there are a lot of MS mimics out there. MS is a difficult disease to diagnose and it is a process of elimination. It can take years to get a dx (diagnosis).

I hope this has helped you and hope you stick around for support and to share.
