Extreme fatigue

I am experiencing extreme fatigue. Usually when I my my fatigue gets worse I know that a flare is coming on. This time I don't know it is weird. I can't stay awake more than 2 hours max before I have to lay down and sleep for a while then I just do it again.

Should I call my neuro and see if there is anything he can do or just wait it out? I don't know what else to do, maybe I have a big flare coming on who knows.

Thank you,
Paula

So pleased you are managing to get an appointment earlier.

Take your Neuros advice, and just take it easy over the weekend.  Rest when your body tells you to rest.

I know only too well how the fatigue takes over your life.

Paula,
Glad your neuro answered you over the weekend. My advice was to call him and let him sort it out. You've been feeling cruddy for over a week now, i my opinion, it's time to see the doc for his input.

I hope you feel better soon!

Well I got a call from my neuro and he said to rest and take it easy over the next two days and if the fatigue is still extreme come monday, then I need to call and get in next week to see him.

Said he doesn't want to prescribe me anything until he sees me. I told him about the pressure I am having in my ribs again and he asked if I am having problems breathing or if I am running a fever or coughing.

I explained that I do not have a fever, and not coughing so he said just take it easy this weekend.

Guess, I wouldn't have expected anything more. Will be calling Monday to get in next week.

Deb61,

My next neuro appointment isn't until December, and I think that may be to long to wait.

Debs,

I am going to call him, this fatigue is getting in the way of me living a normal life.

Thanks,
Paula

Hey Paula,

I would put a call into your Neuro.  If you do have a relapse coming on, then it would be better to treat it sooner rather than later.

A good sign for me is extreme fatigue before a relapse - but check with your Neuro just to be sure.

I have major problems with fatigue, but it's always there.  If I didn't take Provigil for this, I would not be able to work.  When't your next neuro visit?  I would probably wait until the next appointment, if wasn't too long away; however, if you develop other symptoms of an attack, I would give the neuro's office a call.

I guess it also depends on the severity.  If you feel really sleepy in the car, I would give your doctor a call.  I've been fatigued like that.  One time I fell asleep at the street light!  This is certainly not good!
