Hi Cowboy,
I haven't fallen but I know the feeling . My progression has been slow so my leg weakness was slow . I have time to adjust . When I'm about to stand I make my self conscious of it and make sure my feet are squarely planted , I like having my toes slightly pointed out . this gives me a good base... then I feel safe to slowly push off and gaging my strength as I go .. One day this week I got up fast to answer the phone and almost fell .. It was like my head and chest were very willing to to take a fast approach but my feet and legs said NO WAYand were in revolt a pace or two behind . They felt like they were glued to the floor. Weird weird weird !!!! Luckily the recliner caught me.
Cowboy how about thinking of some alternatives in transitioning from one position to another . Since you are having intimate contact with the floor and don't want to, how about a walker JUST for these times. The new ones have lock brakes ,with seats they are great in helping people in steadying themselves Maybe for you its a matter of taking your time and assessing the situation ,, how strong do I feel and slowly put weight on your feet/legs and see if they are strong or are they a little noodley, but take it easy, go slow. For me its a mental assessment of my strength at the time .
Happy Holidays Good Luck

Yes this has happened to me, but luckily I have never fallen to the floor. As my father in the Navy used to say, 'Can't seem to find my sea-legs."
I order you not to do this anymore Cowboy.....do you hear?
