Thanks Ess,
I am going to do just as you suggest. I did finally receive a phone call from the on call neurologist. These symptoms preceded my last exacerbation. It's kind of funny that it was the same neurologist this time, that I spoke to last time, and he remembered me. This time, he said if my symptoms get worse, I should go to the ER, because they need to evaluate me.
Right now, my plan is to lay low, and hope this doesn't get any worse. I have an MRI, and a lumbar puncture scheduled for next week, at another facility. I can't "afford" to have an exacerbation right now. No time ;)

Gee, I know how annoying that sort of thing can be, I really do. But there's no point in calling your neuro now, unfortunately.
For one thing, as you've said, the timing is bad. And there isn't much that can be done about the numbness, or the other symptoms you describe, for that matter. If you have neurontin or lyrica you could try upping the dose a little and see if that helps. Make yourself as comfortable as you can, and try to distract yourself if you can. Then call your neuro on Monday to let the doctor know what's happening.
Hang in there, baby yourself, and try to have a good Christmas. I'll be thinking of you.
