Miss M
Wow , What on earth happened to you ? You were relatively ok two days ago..
How are you feeling this morning? Your speech , legs ... are they still giving you problems.? It could be a flair . Please take it VERY EASY today . If your sx.s get ANY worse , go to the ER , to at least get them documented and maybe someone might be able to help . Maybe that nice guy would be there . :)
Does your neuro have a cancellation list ?
Feel better ,
I'm sending light , love and healing prayers your way
Jo
Hi,
I have no dx, but can relate to the burning hot face. Usually, I just feel hot (no fever, like you) but at its worst, I change color. I've come out of the ladies room before at work and really startled myself by getting to the mirror and having a lobster red face. I've actually used ice packs before to cool my face/head off.
I called my mother once when this was happening, thinking it could be an early hot flash, but she said that wouldn't last hours.
I get burning in my arms and legs on a regular basis as well, but never as badly as the face burning. Luckily it is not always that bad, but it certainly is uncomfortable! Again, sounds silly, but those freezer packs that I use when I pack my lunch have really helped in the past to get some relief. I take neurontin, but my dose can't tackle something that big.
Still not doing good so this will be brief.
Rena, the first time I had it like this I did go to the ER, they ruled out stroke and said it seemed like a MS flare but as I had no diagnosis there was nothing they could do. Was told to contact the neuro which I did and was told she had no available appointments in the near future. So I give up on that end. If things get any worse or my speech especially gets worse I will go as then I won't be able to work. I need my speech for my job. Just hoping this is temporary.
Deb, I do get the burning feeling in my legs but this is not burning just really hot. I have had numbness in my cheek before and like a dull ache with a odd stab of pain with it. I'm not sure if this would classify it as TN. I don't get the constant electric type pain. But I do think my nerves are running "amok".
Hugs to you both
Moki
A thought occurred to me. Have you considered TN?
It sounds like you're in a flair. I get the burning sensation mostly in my arms, feet, and legs lately, but I've had it in my face before. It feels like my nerves are on fire. I'm just like you, I can't warm up in the cold or cool down in the heat. Nerves running amuck, I guess . . .
Take care, dearheart,
Deb
Hey ducky...I have the opposite happen to me...especially after I had that incident when I was overheated and Quix figured that I was having heat stroke...it was incredibly hot that day and although the sweat was pouring off me (or so I thought) when I or anyone else touched me face it was ice cold!
Since that time, I have incidences all the time when I am feeling overheated but my face is ice cold...don't know what it is and I don't know what this flushing is on you but it sounds to me like you may be in need of some steroids???
Honey, personally if I were feeling as bad as you and having the trouble you are having with your speech and eyesight...I would head straight to the ER! You should think very carefully about this honey...you sound like you are in the midst of a flair and you need help...please at least consider it ok sweetie?
Lots of Hugs,
Rena
