Go the the "Health Pages" in the upper right hand corner of this page and click onto the article there about MS and no lesions. Hopefully it will explain more and be of more help to you.
If you have any further questions after reading that, please come back to the Forum and ask away. We will see what we can do to help.
Best Wishes,

I am no expert on MS, but could somebody please explain to me how someone with NO lesions can be diagnosed with MS.
The whole premise of MS is multiple sclerosis on the brain or spine. If there are no lesions, there is no sclerosis.
Correct me if I am wrong ...
Hi there,
Welcome! I'm sorry for what you have going on. It's just terrible when you can't do your regular daily activities! So very frustrating I know.
So, what is going on? If you like, we can start getting some of these things in order for you if you feel that will help. What brought you to the Doc? The dizziness? What Doc ordered the MRI? An MD or a Neuro? Were any labs run? If so, what? Give us a litle more, and we'll pick it apart and see what we can do to fill in the holes - k?
Again, thanks for joining, hope we can help you out,
-SL
You could still have MS even if the lesions don't show on the MRI yet. There were no lesions on my first MRIs, although as I understand it, the longer you have problems with a normal MRI, the less likely it is that you have MS. But some people have been dx'd with definite MS with no lesions at all on MRI.
Hopefully one of the more medically-literate members will post something, but in the meantime check out the "How Can a Person with MS Have a Negative MRI?" topic under the health pages (upper right corner of this page or
http://www.medhelp.org/health_pages/list?cid=36).

I haven't been diagnosed with MS yet; but, they're pretty sure that's what I have. I don't have any lesions on my brain, but I have a couple on my spinal cord.
Are you seeing a Neurologist? If they suspect MS, I think they'll probably do an MRI of your spine and also an LP. You could have something other than MS.
