problems with heat

Hi all,

Last Thursday was the first day where it was really hot here.  I had a doctor's appointment where I had to drive 45 minutes to get to -- and I was having a very hard time staying awake while driving.  I mentioned this to my doctor and she said it was probably the heat -- and recommended I use the a/c and have something cold with me to drink.

It now all makes sense about how I used to get very fatigued in the summer, and just want to be inside all the time and sleep.

Does anyone else have tips on how to stay cool in the heat?  I would actually like to enjoy being outside -- especially since the other 6 months of the year in this area are cold and snowy.  I feel like I miss out on a lot during the summer because of this.

Jean

Hi Jean,

They make products such as cooling vests and neckerchiefs to help cool you done during the summer. In Fact there was a recent discussion about this and where to obtain the products. One place is the MS Association, who can provide this to you for free if you qualify financially. There are other posts in this thread that provide names and places to order the gear as well.

Below is the link to that thread:
