Skin sensitivity

Hi everyone,  I am curious if anyone else has sensitive skin and is it an MS symptom. I have been having extreme hip pain this week, worse than it uaually is. Today the skin on the top of my leg and inner thigh is really sensitive but only if touched lightly. Does anyone else have this?

Thanks, I get this from time to time on my face or scalp.  I'm relieved to see that it can be associated with migraines (which I get on a frequent basis).

I had ths in august.

It lasted for a couple of weeks and then disappeared.

Good luck.  I know it is really annoying.
I am not diagnosed as of yet.

Yes, I have a similar sensitive skin reaction on the skin of my ears and a itching on the back of my neck in the hair line area. There is not any rash or appearance of irritation. The skin on my ears is painful when touched slightly with my finger nails. The itching is very uncomfortable. I am clean non-toxic living female. Please write if you have any additional information. I hope you are okay.

This condition is known as allodynia. It can certainly happen with MS. There's a lot about it on the web if you want to take a look.

Yes, I have had constant hypersensitive skin on my left arm and hand, it's been this way for over 2 years now, 24/7, since a major sensory flare affecting my entire left side.  Much of that pain/sensitivity remitted, ie: on my shins, bottom of feet, scalp, face; but it has never left my hand and arm.  Some days it gives me a sense of queasiness with the sensation of just a sleeve brushing against my skin.  In my case it's dysesthesias caused by cervical myelopathy.  It is dampened somewhat by a combo of Neurotin and Elavil, but never feels 100% normal.  Along with the sensitivity is the occasional burning sensation, tight, glove-like feeling, and bits of numbness.  And itchiness and a feeling of being wet when it is not.  And pins and needles.  Basically any and every uncomfortable sensation, on any given day and at any given time of day, worse with fatigue and increase in body temp, or exposure to extreme cold.
