They have ruled out lupus, sjogrens, lyme disease, but still no diagnosis. Can anyone make sense of my MRI?
Within the subcortical and periventricular white matter are several foci of abnormal T2 signal. The periventricular white matter is oriented in a perpendicular direction to the ventricular surface and there is involvement of the white matter surrounding
the atria of the lateral ventricles. These findings are consistent with the provided diagnosis of multiple sclerosis.
There is mild asymmetry of the ventricular system which is a normal anatomical variant.
The intracranial structures are without mass, hemorrhage, acute ischemia or extra-axial fluid collection. The midline structures are intact and the ventricles are normal in size.
The craniocervical junction is unremarkable without evidence of Chiari malformation. Normal marrow signal is present in the calvarium.
Postcontrast imaging is negative for abnormal enhancement in the brain.
