relapse?

hey all...so many seem to be posting on this of late and i hate to add my voice in this capacity but...i'm thinking it could be the case for me too.

i've been trying to ignore it but there is no denying that i have a whole lot of "new" numbness now.   in my lt. forearm and rt. thigh/pubic bone area also on the face a bit.

also, a bit on the gory side, but i had a BM that was very mucousy (i know, not a word, but the best i could do!!), my ears are getting that full feeling back and my balance seems to be deteriorating once again.  my pupils continue to be different sizes and my hearing/tinnitus/vertigo are all still present, though the vert. is very minor at the moment.

the last time i saw my neuro she pretty much dismissed me as a patient, told me to get my doc. to call her again if anything started up.

however, i think i'm going to wait awhile and see.  if nothing escalates beyond this great, but otherwise i suppose i'll need to get a referral to a new neuro. and begin the whole process of digging through it again.

i'm just soooo sick of appointments with no answers (as i know many of us here feel from time to time).

i will however, book in for acupuncture to see if that can help me along.

i guess the question is as much as i don't want to call up my doc. about all of this again, am i nuts not to?  i just can't help feeling all it will lead to is another long drawn out referral for no answers in the end.
cheers all,

xo michelle

Michelle,

I hope you feel better soon, but like Sarah said if they are new symptoms or exsisting symptoms that have returned for more that 24 hours then you should call your doc. They won't know that you are getting worse if you don't relay the information to them, maybe this time they will take you more serious since these are new symptoms.

I hope you do call and get in to see the doc so that they can run more tests, yes I said more tests lol. I know that test after test is annoying but sometimes its the only way to find the culprit of our suffering.

Take Care,
Paula

This question of is it a relapse is always there for us all and I am sure you saw my post today on the same theme. However I would say to you (with considerable inexperience!) that I think your are almost definitely in a relapse as you have new symptoms and if they have lasted over 24 hours then this confirms it.

I think that my situation is slightly different as it is old symptoms brought on by a virus but I think this is also a relapse as it has now lasted over 24 hours and it is over 30 days since my last one.

So if I can ring my clinic as I have a cold...I think you can ring with all that you are going through. I can understand you not wanting anoher long drawn out referral but it is important to get this logged onto your notes.  If the neuro told you to get your doctor to call if there is anything new, this seems the best place to start so that is what I would be inclined to do.

Hope you are not too tired....my bed has been my sanctuary today.

Love Sarah xxx
