I'm glad to hear you are feeling better.
Keep all this documented.

I'm glad that you are feeling a bit better now.
I would still try some splints on your wrists at night and see if that makes the numbness/tingling go away with your hands. Also, try to see what position your arms/wrists are when you wake up. Sleeping with your arms bent in closely may be causing this.
Take care! Pat :)
Thanks, I did not get to go to the ER. Everything is alot calmer now. It seemed to just all of a sudden come on really strong for awhile today. Ever since the last Er visit I wonder is it happening again?
It must have just been aniety or stress. Thanks for your responds.
Rae
Did you go to the ER and they said that you were having stress and anxiety?
In my case, anxiety does make my Sx worse, but that is me, and I won't say that is what's happening in your case. It could or couldn't be. Like T-lynn said, it's best to get these Sx documented.
I've had twitching in my eye and twitching in my lower legs. My neuro said that twitching (fasciculations) are not MS related. My eye twitching has gone away, but my lower legs will still twitch occasionally, especially after some type of exertion. My leg fasciculations has been suggested to be related to some lumbar issues I have.
Regarding the tingling/numbness/dropping things with your hands ~ the pinky/ring finger sounds like ulnar nerve compression. I have that also. I will frequently wake up during the night with numb hands (and bilaterally). It's related to my sleeping position. I tend to sleep with my hands and arms all clenched in together.
Those nights when I make an effort to sleep with arms/hands unclenched, I don't get the numbness. My neuro told me to sleep with elbow and wrist splints, but I don't. Maybe try the splints and see if that makes a difference.
I will also get tingling/numbness in my feet/hands/face when I have a panic attack. When I calm myself down, it immediately goes away. I have a fine bilateral hand tremor as well. It gets worse when I'm anxious.
That being said, MSers also have the same symptoms. It's best to get it checked out. If you feel that it is getting worse or if it is really bothering you, please go and get some medical attention.
HTH and take care! Pat :)
OK. Dx was stress and aniety. Could this be caused by that?
Rae
If these symptoms are getting persistant then yes get medical care.
When episodes like this occur its always good to get them documented.
These symptoms are definately neurological and I don't recall if you are Dx'd or not,all it takes is one good ER DOC to complete proper test to DX.
With both arms going numb called be from your sleeping posture to a kink in a nerve in the neck.I have gotten bilaterial numbness in arms but thats from brain stem lesions that I have.
Don't wait to long or let these symptoms get worse.
