Hi!  Welcome!

I am so sorry that we had to meet this way; but, God has a purpose and his reasons that I cannot comprehend.  I only know that this is a really swell bunch of people on this forum who will stick with you and try to assist you on this forum as best they can.  We are like one big family.  We cry together.  We laugh together.  We pray together.  We cry together.  We educate and understand each other.  We laugh together.  Oh, did I say that we share out fears and that we have all cried together?  We try to stand behind and with and for each other.  We are one in our goal to fight this ugly monster called MS.  We will do our utmost best.  And, we will have laughs and fun and sincerity and honesty and just be kinda crazy on the way.  Yes, this is a strange but so very wonderful group of people here and I am so proud to be able to say "Welcome" to you.

And Grannyhotwheels is right.  We try to be here for everyone we possibly can.  And we know that the reverse is true.  And we kind of let is all hang out.  And sometimes we can't hold it in (the laughter or the humor or the pee--oops).  Right now Granny thinks that we are trying to laugh her fillings out of her and for a good part she is correct.  One star for Granny.  Of course, it always helps to be a little full of it, if you know what I mean.

I am not trying to be too light of your feelings.  I just want you to know that MS is not and end-all to everything.  We will try and help you feel secure and knowledgeable and empowered.  And you will have some power over this disease.  And then, some things we have to learn how to adjust to, hopefully just temporarily.  But, whatever happens with each of us we are no less the respected person than we started out.  We are God's children and God will see us through.  I do not know if you are religious and I do not mean to offend you.  But, most of us have faith.  We learn to have faith in ourselves and faith in others.  And I try to remember to deal with what I can and the bundle the rest up and send it to God.  That is all I believe that anyone can do.  I still struggle with it at times, myself.

So, please, take some moments if you can and tell us about yourself.  A little biography would be nice.  Male/female, age, approximate place of where you live, any family, any pets, any hobbies or interests, type of work.  How long have you had MS and what can you share with us concerning your disease?  What you wish to share is entirely up to you.  There is no pressure here.  Just hope and kindness and understanding.

Sometimes we get crabby and need to vent or cry.  But, that is part of being in this family.  We are here for each other.  And sometimes, some members get feeling really poorly and cannot communicate for awhile.  But, we all understand that we are here for each other and we pray for each other.

I am not as good at the humor and words as most of these other ladies and gents.  And I am not a doctor.  Quix is a retired pediatrician with MS.  She is wonderful.  Heather is great.  There are so many great people on this forum I cannot begin to name them all.  We are here for you, though....We know you must be scared and need to talk.  Feel free to do so.  And if noone answers right away, do not give up because eventually one of us will chime in.  Heaven knows we love and respect each other and really like to chat.

Try and look forward with optimism to having a Very Wonderful and Happy New Year!!

And again, welcome to our family!!!!

Torey

How gross this sounds but good lord that sounds wonderful to me right now.lol
Ahhhh just to run out.hahah

Okay, that's enough of the gross stuff.  I'm just kidding I'm not really a nasty person I just have a very warped sense of humor.

I know your scared hon, you have every right to be.  You have just been told that your life is probably going to change very drastically.  I'm not sure but I'm figuring that you already have.  Tell me where your at with the monster.  What damage has he done so far?  If you don't feel like talking about this right now we can always go back to the potty subject.lol

See, I told you, my warped sense of humor keeps me from carrying on an adult conversation.  Keep on going and I'll try to keep up.

I'll be praying,
Carol

what's your name honey.  I know your scared.  Why don't you write down all the things that are bothering you and lets talk about them.  Trust me, I know that you are scared to death.  I was diagnosed just last August, so it's still pretty fresh to me also.

You are going to be alright.  With MS at least you aren't going to get a "you only have 6 months" kinda thing.  So, that's a relief.

My main issue right now is trying to go to the bathroom.  All these wonderful people are in the process of helping me with this.  I'm thinking they are trying to shake it out with laughter.  Due to the jokes that are being cracked.  Right, David? hahaha.  We all need to laugh.

I know you don't care about my potty issues but what I'm trying to get at is we all gotta laugh sometime.  So wipe the tears out of your eyes and join in the fun.  I don't mind if you make fun of me just as long as you get a laugh.lol

David really loves me, you'll see as you get to know all of us.  It's a great big wonderful, huggy, loving, laughing, crying, kind of family.  Welcome aboard.  I know your gonna do good here.

I'll be praying,
Carol
