Brain surgery & Vision problems !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alittle over two months age I had brain surgery to remove a non-cancerous tumor and a fluid cyst from my brain. Ever since the surgery I have been having trouble with my vision, everything from light senstivity to objects moving and flashes of lights and spots among other problems with my vision. I have been back to see my surgeon and informed him of these problems. He had no answers for me. Can anyone tell me if they ever had these problems after surgery and will they clear up over time. There is no way I will be able to drive with my vision this way. Does anyone have any answers ? Any help would be appreciated,,,,,,,,

It is difficult to say if you have temporary or permanent nerve problems/damage.  Unfortunately, your situation will be no quick fix.

Well, that is a good start.  Please seek emergent care if you begin to have periods of partial blindness or total blindness before this appointment with the Neuro-Ophthalmologist.

Keep us posted.

The tumor and cyst were in the back of my brain on the right side. I have an appointment with my Neuroo Ophthalmologist next month.

Where were the tumor and cyst located/what part of the brain?  Sounds like something going on with the optic chiasm/optic nerve possibly.

Secondly,  I would recommend consulting a Neuro-Ophthalmologist for an opinion.
