Numbness/Slight Tingling, Right-Hand, Fingertips (not pinky or thumb)

About (10) days ago, I slept wrong (with my arm underneath me if I remember correctly), and I awoke to my arm being completely numb. As I sat up and blood began to circulate, everything returned to normal in my arm, EXCEPT, my (3) fingers.

They have remained numb, and tingle from time to time, for the last (10) days.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, do you still have it or did you manage to get rid of it? HOW did you get rid of it? It's not impossible to live with, but it's annoying as heck.

At first, I thought I might be experiencing a stroke (or was about to have one or something), but from what I understand, that particular type of numbness isn't so confined and doesn't last as long as what I've got going on.

Anyone?

Yes, I don't blame you about not wanting to see another physician; totally understand.

I would recommend taking an OTC anti-inflammatory, i.e. Motrin, but considering your kidney issues I won't.  The physician may advise you to  keep the fingers/hand immobilized (may order a immobilizer), PT and/or possibly order corticosteroids for this.  If it still isn't resolving after conservative treatment THEN surgery maybe advised.

Any diagnosis/history of CTS (carpel tunnel syndrome)?

What can/will a physician be able to do about it? I mean, how do you UNimpinge/UNpinch a nerve, without surgical intervention?

And even WITH surgical intervention, how do they know exactly what to unpinch?

I'm hesitant to go to the doctor, as I've spent the better part of the last 21 years in and out of the hospital for kidney-stone issues.

I absolutely HATE going to the doctor (you would too if you'd had 90+ surgical procedures to remove stones, over the last 20 years).

However, if you think that the doctor is the best route... that's why I came here and asked. The doctor it is...

Sounds like a median nerve issue; pinched/impinged nerve.

I would recommend consulting your physician ASAP.

Sometimes this resolves on its own, however, after ten days you really need to seek medical attention.
