Chicken Pox and spinal cord problems (MS ?)

Chicken Pox and spinal cord problems (MS ?)

Hy,
my name is Moreno, I'm 35 y.o. (I write from Italy).
In June I had chicken pox and in August (after
about 50 days from chicken pox) I had some
problems with my legs (weakness and lhermitte sign
when I bend my neck).
After 2 months (from August till October)
I still have these problems (even if they are reducing).
My neuro doctor told me it could be MS but
MRI didn't find anything in the brain and in
the spinal cord (now the doctor thinks it
could be a vascular problem ???).
Two questions:
1) Can chicken pox determine a myelitis in the spinal cord ?
2) Is " the chicken pox myelitis" usually mild with a good (complete ?) recover ?

Chicken pox could cause an inflammation of the spine, and I am not certain about the recovery. A course of treatment with an IV medication should be considered. In the U.S. we use acyclovir. Chicken pox can also cause an inflammation of the blood vessels, and lead to ischemia. Without looking at the scan I cannot provide more information. Good luck.

and no lessions in the brain and (spinal)cord.
Din't you got an spinal tap and exam.?
