Fingers twitch in Resting Position

My index finger twitches in a resting position, also my thumb sometimes...I also have a strange knot on top of the same hand, you can see it when I bend my hand down at the  wrist. what does this mean? Its been going on for weeks now and I am very scared.

I just worry that this is some kind of neurological issue, I have never experienced this until now and it is not going away. I cannot go to the doctor about this until July as I have no medical insurance until July 1st.

Please help..

The twitching is sometimes due to low potasium levels.
