I'm really scared and can't stand this feeling!

Lately I've been feeling really dizzy and exhausted (especially in the morning) and I get these horrible headaches in my temple a few times a week, sometimes daily. Those usually occur randomly.  I can't remember most things (short term) and I've been getting really clumsy.  Every morning I fight off anxiety attacks on the way to work (I was on Lexapro for a couple of years for depression and anixety but went off it 5 months ago).  I have that butterflies-in-the-stomach most of the time and have been getting stomach aches and gas too.  My PCP referred me to a neurologist but my appointment isn't for another 2 months because I'm a "new patient"!  I'm really worried that something is seriously wrong and I can't stand feeling like this. I'm pretty scared and I feel like I'm just shutting down left and right. I'm 30 years old, female, no children. Any clue as to what could be going on with me?!

Why does your doc prescribed alprazolam for blood pressure since it is a medication for anxiety/panic disorder?  Alprazolam sure prescribed for many conditions including dizziness but in your case it seems like BP is the main issue needs to be controlled.  Not sure you have anxiety and inner ear disorder too since you mentioned you took diziron.

I suffer with dizziness, headaches etc., for about 2 years but mine happened after a mild traumatic brain injury and nothing worked for me.

In  your case it seems like your BP and inner ear may be causing the problem.  consult a ENT specialist who knows about dizziness.

Hello Dear,
The key causes that lead to dizziness are;
- Sudden drop in blood pressure or dehydration which may inhibit blood to the brain causing lightheadedness.
- Dizziness may be accompanied by various disorders such as: allergies, hypoglycemia, common cold, fever, diarrhea, vomiting or flu.
- Loss of balance or spinning sensation may be related to a malfunction in at least two of three main organs that contribute to our sense of balance: inner ears, eyes or the nervous system..
- Enhance maintaining balance by learning exercises from a trained physiotherapist
- Reduce stress
- Practice Aerobic exercises
- Develop a regular sleep pattern

- Treat the disorder which is causing dizziness
You should avoid diet drinks,tobacco,caffeine,take plenty of water to ensure the blood pressure does not drop due to exercise, high stress activities and hot climate.
