Background regarding what happened:
My wife rolled our truck on icy roads this winter and hasn't been the same since. The truck flipped three times and she hung upside down for about one hour while firefighters cut the truck open to get her out. Physically, my wife didn't have a scratch on her, but four days later the pain started, which is to be expected. Most of the pain is gone except for some odd lumps. It has been about 4 months since her accident.
The current problem:
My wife gets small elongated bumps under her skin that eventually increase in size if she uses the muscles in the area where the bumps are located or simply rubs the bumps (massage). Once the bumps increase in size, they become much more painful and create a distinct burning feeling. Eventually the elongated bumps will go away in one spot, but then appear in a different spot with the same results. Currently, the bumps are located in the area of her stomach and ribs.
Question: Can anyone tell us what is going on with these elongated bumps? Please! Mentally, my wife is not doing well, since there is no diagnosis. We just want to know what we are dealing with in order to do what's necessary to combat/treat the problem.
Medications she is taking (could it be the meds):
Celebrex 200mg BID twice a day
Flexaril 10mg TID three times a day
Tramadol 50mg TID three times a day
Tylenol 500mg TID three times a day
Synthroid one a day
Thank you in advance.
