Pin Pricking

For about 13 months I have been experiencing almost daily pin pricking sensations in my groin, scrotum, and penis.  Mainly during the day and it is intermittent.  Some days more some days not so much.  Pain is more of a nuisance, but very annoying and not sure what could cause this.  Dermatologist examined the area and his theory is perhaps a pinched nerve.  Sometimes I also feel a bruise type pain on the ball of my left foot, the sole and toes.  Also for about 14 months experience pricking or stabbing intermittent pains in the back of my head by my left ear and also the top left side of my head, but the stabbing pain seems to move around and is not very painful, but enough to cause me alarm as to the origin.  Could some kind of a virus be causing this and what virus would last for months?  Any idea's? Thank You

I have had very similar sensations for some time now.
my neuro would not give me any solid information,, the mri was ok but these symptoms are getting very irritating.
This week, it's been lower back pain, bladder pain, pricklys in the scrotum, and achy testes.

I agree it does sound like nerve pain. Do you have any neck pain or stiffness. For this to affect upper and lower, it may originate in the neck

i'm not a dr by any means, but tend to agree with what your dermatologist told you.  it sounds nerve related.  but just out of curiosity, why did you go to a dermatologist for this problem instead of a neurologist?  seems to me...and this is just my humble opinion....that perhaps you should make an appointment to see a nl and perhaps request an mri of your spine to see if anything is going on in that area.  good luck!
